Strands XBB Bluetooth Dongle
If you own a modern vehicle, it usually runs on a CAN bus system. In many cases, this means you’ll need an interface, the XBB Dongle, when installing additional lights to avoid error messages or malfunctions in the vehicle’s electronics. The XBB Dongle® acts as the master unit for up to four XBB PowerUnits (bought separately).
The XBB Dongle connects to the vehicle’s OBD2 port and communicates wirelessly over Bluetooth.
Using the XBB Configurator® app, you can select a configuration—called a “recipe”—that matches your specific car model, if your model is listed. Once the setup is complete, you can connect the XBB PowerUnit. Together, the Dongle and PowerUnit interpret the vehicle’s CAN bus data and monitor active functions such as high beam, reverse light, ignition, and more. Please consult the manual for more detailed instructions.
